Hi! Just a clarification--I *was* a consultant for Ning, but have not been since December 2008. My work on Classroom 2.0 has always been separate from any consulting relationship with them, and was really just intended to provide an easy way for educators to become a "part of the conversation" that Web 2.0 provides. It then ended up doing a decent job of showcasing the actual value of social networking in education.

Thanks for the good plugs!

Love the pic! At first I thought, now that would be great...one computer, able to look at nine different things you've opened up at the same time. Then I remembered how little I know about computers and the internet, and I realized that I'd get lost sitting comfortably in my own home. Since I often feel overwhelmed at work, I don't relish getting overwhelmed at home, too. I thing I'll just leave it to people like you, whom I consider computer experts.

I enjoyed your videos...all of them. All though I am not surprised that you created different versions,I appreciate the fact that you did because each one can be helpful to those of us who are basically computer illiterate. I need an example to follow. Also, I liked seeing the different videos because I'd like to show my kids how to do these, and it's great to have choices. Isn't that what education is supposed to unlock for kids...choices? I also find your help with this class invaluable!

Great comments, Arlie. I appreciate all the extra info. you provide. One note though, when I clicked on a few of the links from this post, they did not work. I know I tried the first couple and the last one on the photo dropper plug in. Thanks.

Yes, technology is great fun! I find I like it more and more everyday! I don't feel as threatened by it as I once did, but that was only because I basically new nothing just a few short years ago. That's not to say I consider myself a techno geek now...it's just I feel comfortable with it and with learning more about it. It's not a scary thing any more. :-)I love learning new things in this area....hence, my reason for taking this class and I'm not disappointed.
